Fusing influences from classic Hip-Hop, R&B, and modern Soul & Funk, his artistry embodies a blend of old and new. With a knack for poignant storytelling and infectious melodies, he channels his experiences as a young black artist from the Inland Empire into his work, fearlessly diving into provocative themes including, mental health, family trauma, identity and more in his lyricism. His breakout track "ZIG ZAGGING" earned over 15M streams & co-signs from Jordan Ward, Hitboy, and Diddy, along with growing his social following to 25K+ across platforms. The subsequent PERFECT PACE (feat. Amaria), landed on (5) Spotify Editorials including Vanguard and R&B Weekly, and his latest offering PUSHING BUTTONS was premiered by BET JAMS & earned him a collaboration with The Recording Academy’s Hip Hop 50th celebration. Imuno's musical roots trace back to his upbringing surrounded by talented musicians, including his grandmother, a pianist and music director. His artistic journey started with visual arts, later expanding into music through middle school jazz programs and marching bands. After joining the POC-led artist community KOGO in 2021, he began work on his forthcoming album "PINS & NEEDLES" diving deeper into discomfort, encompassing both the consequences of poor choices and the growth that arises from self-discovery. Imuno's exploration of human nature, memories, and self-understanding underpins the album's themes. Through this record, he not only delves into unexplored aspects of himself but also encourages listeners to embark on their own journeys of self-exploration.
