PINS & NEEDLES is an album that explores the feelings that come with our relationship to love: self-love, familial love, romantic love, creative love & everything in between. The album highlights the duality of our experiences in these relationships, both the sweet & the sour, digging deeper into the growing pains associated with evolving into adulthood, specifically from the lens of a 22-year old black artist from Moreno Valley, California. Asha is unafraid to unpack traumas & vices, vividly recounting stories that explore a range of themes from lust (FLORIDA WATER, ROAD RAGE), to addiction (DO U WANNA BE HIGH?, PUSHING BUTTONS), to depression (BULLSEYE, OOZIN...), still making space to live in moments of bliss (CLEMENTINE), love (HOLD A GOOD THOUGHT), and joy (HONEY, BOURDAIN).
